Permaculture Planet was originally born out of an individual need to flourish & live sustainably, without  external inputs and the tyranny of modern civilization.

Through our past experience with developing and selling Permaculture Projects in Paradise, we learned that we could have a larger impact by simply purchasing and reforesting as many acres and hectares as possible.

This has lead us to pivoting Permaculture Planet from a for profit entity entirely to a non-profit foundation with Section 501(c)(30 status as a public charity.

Permaculture Planet US NGO Foundation was established April 4th, 2023 and is currently undergoing the recognition process by the Internal Revenue Code as a public charity.

Payments made to or on behalf of public charities are eligible for deduction as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes. If, as we and our legal counsel expect, the IRS to eventually recognize the Foundation as a Section 501(c)(3) public charity, our tax-exempt status will be retroactively effective to the date of our incorporation on April 4th, 2023.

In that event, donations made after April 4th, 2023 will qualify for the charitable contribution deduction, subject to your personal tax situation. Please consult your tax advisor about the deductibility of your gifts or donations to Permaculture Planet US NGO Foundation.

We are now focusing our efforts on ramping up 1% for Permaculture Planet and are looking forward to reforesting many acres and hectares of land in Costa Rica and beyond.
